Interview with actor Tino Orsini

Image
Tino Orsini is an Italian actor living in London, he has just finished a run of an American play at the biggest arts festival in the world. Tino is also a Podcaster with his own award nominated show on iTunes. We have conducted an interview with him. In your opinion, how different is acting in UK versus acting in Hollywood? Well, I've been acting far more years in the UK than I did in Hollywood so I can't really compare fairly but I would say in Hollywood actors are far more market-savvy and the Industry is mainly interested in making movies that will be profitable whereas in the UK there is a much more diverse acceptance of the Independent film scene and taking risks with projects with a,shall we say, more controversial or sensitive nature that the studios are not prepared to take. Do you prefer some roles over the others? Which are your favourite roles? Of course, but generally if I read a script which has something different to say and resonates with me t...

I'm one of those people that likes strategically plan for all my day's events. 5:30 am I'm up, after that I get into Shelter4Art orders. I'll have a look at a brief then start designing, or if it's photography related I'll obviously have to look into that. My days are seldom them same, some days I'm required to do everything at once and other days are focused on one task. The best part of my day is doing what I love the most, I can't fathom not being able to create, visualize and dream. I love how a blank canvas can transform into the most beautiful of pieces. What is your backg...

What essentially is the most important elements to be able to paint the feeling behind a moment? The passion to want to show more than what can be seen. And everyone would paint it differently. Acknowledging we all see and think differently is key to overcoming social boundaries and prejdices. We are united by the fact we are human and can feel. Art is about expression to me. No art is meaningless and neither is a moment in time. Why do you want to be an Expressionist Artist? Expressionism is about the moment, the feeling and trying to represent that on a canvas. We have conducted an interview with him. Why did you choose to write books for older children, tweens and teens? It all started when I was fiddling with Digital Designs for Mobile Phone cases. I decided to create characters that the kids might enjoy, such as a Pteranodon, a Penguin and a Cow. The books grew out of that. Though it started with kids in mind, as the books evolved I realised they were more suitable for Older kids and Teens. A Movie Studio executive that has read the Movie Script version of Book One has suggested a PG rating. Which are the issues that your books deal with? Interview with author JR Wirth

Image
Tonight our guest is JR Wirth . He is an author from Southern California, currently living in San Bernardino. We have conducted with him an interview about his books. Do you consider it your strengths to combine ordinary people with extraordinary circumstances, to create characters that will jump off the page? I do consider it a strength, but it’s the reading audience that will ultimately make the final judgement. As I write them, I spend a lot of time inside the heads of the characters—some more than others. I see them in the scene, or in a moment, and I see those around the character, and then it takes on a life of its own. What is "Destiny's Lot: A Halloween Love Story" about? “ Destiny's Lot: A Halloween Love Story ” is a fun Halloween adventure/suspense story. It takes place in the late 1970’s when life was much slower and people kinder. The non-traditional hero of the story wakes Halloween morning (Saturday) with high hopes for the day’s adven...

Before I became a parent, I was already treating individuals for physical complaints using Scenar Therapy, and facilitating regular meditation groups so it felt natural to focus exclusively on parenting once I had found my own parenting balance. Becoming a parent was an eye-opening experience for me, to say the least, and it quickly became apparent that parents don’t get the support they need to get them through the huge changes and challenges that come up for them when they cross the bridge to Parenthood. All energy goes into taking care of baby l...

The Rabbit Hole: An Erotic Tale

Image
Tonight our guest is Amiya Powell , a native New Yorker, the author of The Rabbit Hole: An Erotic Tale . Amiya is fascinated by the subject of human duality, and all things occult, bizarre and fringe, crafting dark stories with twisted plots and flawed heroes. She longs to make your heart race and your palms sweat and your stomach flutter. She wants you to jump, eyes closed and arms outstretched into the Great Unknown, and perhaps meet her there for coffee. We have conducted an interview with her. Is this your first full length novel? No. A few years ago there was a little gem called Redneck Jesus, about a group of Scientists who use a DNA scraping from the Shroud of Turin to clone Jesus Christ. Instead of the peaceful Messiah from the bible, they get a foul-mouthed hothead, who loves fighting, motorcycles, cheap booze and cheaper women. I thought it was hilarious and ahead of its time, but no one would touch it with a ten foot pole. It was controversial, to say the least. ...

What is so good in your stories that you received 5 stars recognition on Amazon's readers? The family aspect of the stories and the adventures which the characters experience during the tales stand out in my mind. These stories have survived nearly 150 years of my family history and so I beleive people are intrigued by these early American Settlers and as such develop lasting bonds with these characters. That said I feel people overall just enjoy the fact that the Donbridge Series is fresh and new and not a mainstream story collection. Who should read these books in your series 'Donbridge...

Image
Mary J. Nickum is a writer of children's books . She has completed two and she has a series: The Aquitaine Reluctant Reader Series currently under production and will be available this Fall. We have conducted an interview with her. What are the challenges of writing children's illustrated books? Writing children’s illustrated books requires text that suggests a picture to the artist. The artist’s picture then must illuminate the child’s curiosity to read further, finally, to complete the book.  Illustrated books are a challenge even if you are not an illustrator. The writer must write text that suggests pictures to the illustrator. These young adult “picture books” I’ve chosen to write are nonfiction and use photographs for illustrations. What is unique that you have discovered when you were writing "The Aquitaine Reluctant Reader Series"? This series is a “picture book” for young adults, who for a multitude of reasons, do not like to read. They...

Sometimes it’s hard to think a woman or a man who lived 500 or 1000 years ago were motivated by the same ambitions and emotions as people are today. What is Hawk's Ascension about? Hawk’s Ascension is the second in my Hawk’s Legacy series. It is the continuation of Nathaniel Hawk’s life journey. He has bested his enemies and is now able to focus on his wife and his career. Image
Tonight our guest is Troy D. Renkemeyer , a tax specialist and business consultant. We have conducted an interview with him. As a business consultant, other than a law degree, what other qualifications does Troy D. Renkemeyer posses? I’m also a CPA, but the most important thing about me is a decade of helping businesses with tax, income and overall business strategy. Every growing business needs a good consultant. Especially when financial decisions are to be made. What are your key strengths and what are you most successful at? My greatest strength is my ability to boil complex tax and legal issues down to very simple and easy to understand terms. This is key for helping business owners make sense of the financial decisions in front of them. I am most successful at protecting hard earned revenue from the IRS – or at least – making sure that what is owed is fair and legal. Those two things aren’t always the same, unfortunately. What do you plan on focusing on in th...
