Today our guest is Ahmad Najib from Malaysia. He is currently working at a local hospital but his passion is art. He draws peoples’ faces. We have conducted an interview with him. What is your passion? I would say my passion is to be hardworking. In order to make a better drawing is to have a hard work and always keep practicing. My drawings only black and white, to be honest, I’m a colour blind. And not just drawing. Since my background is culinary student I like to carving on fruits, sculpting on a chocolate, using flour to make an eagle, this kind of things I learn in my college I would love to do it again if I get a chance. Today our guest is ArmantÄ— Majar from Lithuania. She lives in Vilnius. We have conducted an interview with her about her drawing and painting. What kind of artwork do you like to focus on creating? I love all artworks, but for creating to me is very important details, idea. I can‘t imagine myself to painting something without forms, to me desperately need that all be clearly and a little bit of fantasy, dream. Which type of key elements do you include in your art? Hmm.. of course it would be shape, form, line, color, space and texture. How much time does it take to paint a painting? Hard question, one painting could be paint for a day, other for a week, or maybe and months. Katie Smith is an artist and textile designer based in Madrid, Spain. Katie's formal education began at school on the Isle of Bute, Scotland where she began to take interest in painting and illustration. And, though an easily distracted student herself, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design with Honours from the prestigious Heriot-Watt University where she gained experience in woven and knitted textiles before specialising in printed textiles. She is inspired by a variety of sources, chiefly the skill of drawing and painting in a detailed and exhaustive manner. Discovering all possibilities is an important aspect of her method; working closely with subject matter ensuring all qualities are captured and then translated onto paper or fabric. Katie's work is based around detail, colour and subject matter tends to be linked to nature or emotion.
