Executive Producer Andrew Llinares declares, “I worked with Westley on The X Factor UK, Britain’s Got Talent , and The X Factor USA. Whether working for me either in the US or UK, he is constantly impressive; which is why he is asked back season after season.” In addition to praise from EPs like Llinares and Mark Sidaway, Harris has been recognized by the prestigious Royal Television Society for his outstanding work in Reality TV. Westley seems to have a natural ability to sculpt compelling and emotional stories about everyday people who aspire to stand out. Amir edit's an amazing array

Image
“Being an editor must be tough. You do the same thing over and over and you’re always by yourself.” Amir Heshmati smirks a little when he hears this statement; it’s one that he has heard many times before. Part of his amusement is based on hearing it so many times and the other part is because this misconception could not be further from the truth. In fact, Amir admits that his job is so diverse and offers so many interesting topics to work with that it’s the antithesis of mundane. Those not involved in the Heshmati’s world may not be aware that an editor is so vital to the tone of a production that this person is symbiotic to the director. While this diversity is ample for film and television, Amir has expanded his own career by taking part in an eclectic set of professional situations. His adventurous side is evidenced by his work at the forefront of new techniques (for example, his work with digital based cosmetic company NYX and as one of the first editors ever to work with the Re...

Image
Daniela Pesconi-Arthur is the founder of The Writing Shed online magazine , which is a website for women to read topics related to empowerment and self-esteem. It's is also a website that provides online courses and workshops. We have conducted an interview with Daniela. Which particular event inspired you to the founding of The Writing Shed?  The Writing Shed was founded a couple of months after we moved into our current home. My husband got me a small summerhouse for the back garden ~ the real writing shed (photo bellow) ~ and I fell in love with it immediately. That’s where the name of the magazine comes from. I made it my writing space, and also my grieving space, where I started writing the “Letters to my mother” (I’d lost my mother to cancer a few months earlier). This had a huge impact on my grief, and I thought that I wanted to do the same to help other women. I have an MA in Creative Writing , studied some counselling and was a teacher/lecturer for over 15 years...

Innovation Crush

Image
Chris Denson's award-winning career has spanned marketing, media, technology integration and product innovation. He runs Innovation Crush , a show that is a combination of The Daily Show and Fast Company - fun, funny, and extremely informative. The Innovation Crush series focuses on amazing people and amazing projects and examines the multiple facets of how innovation works. We have conducted an interview with Chris. What kind of interviews do you like to conduct? Luckily, I’m genuinely curious and amazed by what my guests have been able to accomplish in their careers and personal lives. That curiosity naturally leads a lot of Innovation Crush conversations into the “how’s” and “why’s” of how that person ticks and how they process the world. Where did you learn that skill? Were you the same way as a kid? Why did you decide to turn left when everyone else was turning right? Not only that, I love interviews where we’re able to draw parallels between the guests passions –b...

Interview with Joey Mannarino

Image
Joey Mannarino is a radio personality from Philadelphia. We have conducted an interview with him. What was the weirdest moment you have ever encountered as a radio personality? There have been a few weird moments, but that many. The one that sticks out to me is when I got a caller about a year ago, and he said he was a drug dealer and told me exactly where he was and what drugs he was selling. He told me to tell all my listeners where to find him so he could make some money. I would bet anything that it was a prank, but who knows? People are crazy. Other than that, I have wonderful moments and cherish them all. What are your views about indie artists vs those signed to a label? It’s two completely different ball games. Obviously, the signed artists have a major advantage over the independent artists as far as radio goes. Their songs gets serviced to every single station, every single time. It’s not hard to push your music out when you’re on a major label. The differen...

CheyanneJane on YouTube

Image
CheyanneJane is a YouTube channel with funny, random videos and a goofy, bubbly personality. We have conducted an interview with her to know more about this great idea. Was there an occasion that inspired you to start your own Youtube channel? How regularly do you post your videos on CheyanneJane Channel and what are your favourite subjects/topics in your videos? The first time I uploaded to YouTube was back around 2008 when I did some stand-up comedy for fun, but I only got serious about it after a YouTube convention in Sydney called Vidinc. I went with my then-fiancée mostly to see Toby Turner (Tobuscus) but ended up enjoying the shows from a bunch of other vloggers and acts. Some of them were local from Australia and New Zealand so I thought I could do this too! Why not!? I try to post at least once a week. There are obvious off weeks (my honeymoon for one) but in general I have an idea every week and a few backup videos or series that I continue over a few weeks. I ...
