Interview With Paleo Expert - Dr. Lane Sebring

Image
Doctor Lane Sebring has a bachelor's degree in biology and an M.D. from the University of Texas. Upon completing his residency at the Health Science Center, also at the University of Texas, and working at a primary care clinic, he decided to give back to his community with his own unique and synergistic approach to health and medicine. In 1996, Dr. Sebring opened his private practice, the Sebring Clinic, located between San Antonio and Austin. Disenchanted with some of the cure-all approaches of modern medicine, Sebring studied and applied the merits of the Paleo Diet (eating mainly fish, meat, veggies and fruit) to his medical practice and approach. What made you want to become a Paleo expert? I'm interested in helping my patients in an innovative way, in terms of traditional medicine. I don't just want to treat; I want to prevent. The Paleo diet is about working with the body's natural chemistry and systems. My approach to health is about sustainability and...

We have conducted an interview with Megan. When was the first time you were fascinated by 'Young Adult Fantasy' genre? I actually grew up fascinated by Shakespeare, as young as fourth grade. I began with an interest in what I called “Old Timey” stories such as Little house on the prairie, Anne of Green Gables, and moved on to stories like Romeo and Juliet and Cleopatra. I felt like an orphan and I think a part of me was always waiting around for a Hogwarts letter. My interest peaked in the idea of fantasy. This was also a time when I was confined to a wheel chair from a leg injury so movies and ...

I had to endure rejection from family and friends until I found my own happiness getting lost in writing and piano. Later I wasn't trying to impress anyone but focusing on myself. There I Found true beauty in knowing who I am and accepting my flaws . I know I'm not the only who struggled with this. Why are you advocating self-love? Why is it important? It's important to me that I reach...
