Recently this summer in May, I continued the art journey to Vancouver, Whistler and Toronto in Canada with another style of drawing. How did your art journal inspire (both others and also yourself)? If a picture is worth a thousand words, an art journal shows travel lovers thousands of words of an amazing trip in a...

I am also a Wife and the Mother of two beautiful little girls. My passions are in Entrepreneurship, Financial Education and Women Empowerment . And I am on an unshakable mission to help people start their own business, escape the rat race and live a life they truly love! I absolutely LOVE my life! But it wasn’t always this way… I was born in Hong Kong. I grew up following the ’traditional path of success’ – ’go to school, get good grades, get a good job, work hard at the job and save money.’ Growing up, with sheer hard work, I became a straight A student, top of class and had my university fully paid for by scholarships. I went on to graduatin...

Daddy 101 – The Step-by-Step Manual to Pregnancy, Birth and the First Year of Fatherhood

Image
Orla Breeze is an author, columnist & parenting advisor who focuses on assisting parents with the transition from carefree child-free living to crazy, chaotic parenthood! She is the creator of the magazine column Rated PG! and have published her articles in a variety of websites both in Hong Kong and abroad. We have conducted an interview with Orla on her ebook for new dads - Daddy 101 . How did you become a parenting advisor? Before I became a parent, I was already treating individuals for physical complaints using Scenar Therapy, and facilitating regular meditation groups so it felt natural to focus exclusively on parenting once I had found my own parenting balance. Becoming a parent was an eye-opening experience for me, to say the least, and it quickly became apparent that parents don’t get the support they need to get them through the huge changes and challenges that come up for them when they cross the bridge to Parenthood. All energy goes into taking care of baby l...

Interview with Nelson Cabán

Image
Nelson Cabán is a visual artist based in Hong Kong and New York City. We have conducted an interview with him about his artwork, recent exhibitions: How did you cope with two bases: in New York City and Hong Kong? Is it difficult to shuttle between the two locations? New York and Hong Kong both have their benefits. New York will always maintain a certain caché in the international arts market, although I feel that it is far from its creative peak of the 1980s. Hong Kong is the 3rd largest market for art in the world and its close proximity to mainland China makes it impossible to ignore for an emerging artist. The trip definitely takes a toll, every two months approximately, 16 hour direct flight but these trips allow me the time and the space to come up with ideas for shows and products..or just plain old sleep! Where can we see your recent exhibitions? What is the theme of your recent artwork? My most recent show was at City Hall in Philadelphia and will ...
