Interview with 3D modeler Nikola Novak

Nikola Novak is a 42 years old futurist from Serbia. He is a self-taught 3d modeler , animator 2d sketcher, CAD modeler with huge passion for concept car design. We have conducted an interview with him. How does it feel being on the top cover of 3D Artist magazine from UK? Everything started when Steve Holmes from 3DArtist magazine from UK magazine saw my supercar concept on my deviantart profile and asked me to publish it on top cover of their magazine. For me it was awesome feeling to see how my own design fits on top cover of 3D Artist magazine. It was also great advertising for open source software Blender 3D to attract more users. Faces on the Ferry - Interview with illustrator Rachelle Meyer

Rachelle Meyer is an American illustrator living in Amsterdam, specializing in children's books and storytelling. In 2017, she started sketching fellow commuters on the NDSM ferry in a tiny sketchbook. It's a short but sweet trip of about 12 minutes, connecting her home in Amsterdam Noord with her studio in the center of town. Rachelle wants to launch a parallel career as an independent artist alongside her work as an illustrator for hire. We have conducted an interview with her about her Faces on the Ferry project . Artist Lakshmi Mohanbabu is a Singaporean who grew up in Kabul Afghanistan during the 70’s and 80’s. She is a trained architect (B.Arch, Manipal University) and fashion designer who graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in New Delhi. Lakshmi has also taught fashion design, illustration and design history in various educational institutions including Singapore’s LASALLE College of the Arts and NIFT (India). She has also illustrated books for WHO (World Health Organisation) about disability. Having travelled the world, Lakshmi spent a significant amount of time in Europe and Asia researching art, architecture and design – all of which can be seen in her work. Today our guest is Lettecha Johnson . She is a New York based artist/ illustrator with recent experience in the tech world. She received her BFA in Illustration from Syracuse University and her MA in Instructional Technology & Media from Teachers College, Columbia University. We have conducted an interview with her. When was the first time that you figured that your creative works of art were mostly inspired by your travels? There was no one moment when I figured this out. I have always taken photos of my travels but it was during my 2015 trips that I got more focused and wanted to tell a visual story . The real euphony came in Italy and Egypt in 2016. Today our guest is J. Ben Moss ("art name" PLOID). He is an artist & illustrator from Shreveport, Louisiana. He tends to do a sort of edgy comic book/lowbrow/graffiti-inspired kind of style, often at odds with the prevailing culture in which he lives, the southern USA. We have conducted an interview with him. Why did you choose 'PLOID' as your "art name"? That’s actually kind of a silly story. A few years ago, when I first started really getting into graffiti and street art, I was in an art crew. Of course, it’s far easier to spray paint a tag name than your full real name, so I decided to choose one that reflected my background in comics. The term “plewd” was coined by famous cartoonist Mort Walker to denote those little “beads of sweat” that were sometimes drawn above a character’s head to express excitement or anxiety. Interview with illustrator Wilbert van der Steen

Wilbert van der Steen started as an illustrator and cartoonist in 1993 and worked for several Dutch and foreign publishers. Between 2000 and 2006 he made illustrative paintings and added short tales to them. He illustrated many children’s books, four of them were picture books he made in association with writer Tiny Fisscher. Wilbert also wrote a children’s novel, the illustrated adventure Pension Kat (B&B Cat).  In 2009 he set his first steps into the comic world. In 2013 his short comic Peter and the wolf, an adaptation of Prokoviev’s story, put him in the comic world’s spotlight and he came in touch with the Flemish prize-winning comic writer Marc Legendre.
