Sassy, classy and kind. New Jersey artist Tina Romano always wanted to draw but she stuck to writing for so many years. The call to draw and paint came on strong a few years ago. BORN IN CHINA: CHUAN FILMS & DISNEY’S LOVING TALE OF ANIMALS

Image
Communicating with sincerity is the most effective way to create a connection between people. This used to be done on a village square by skilled and passionate speakers. The modern version of this is cinema. The speaker’s tone has been augmented by an experience which transports us to places only imagined previously. Vivid imagery and fascinating music delivers an emotive impact that is embraced across the globe. While many films are created for entertainment, there are those which also seek to inform as did the speakers previously noted of bygone eras. Chuan Films and Disney Studio created Born in China to illustrate the lives of the endangered species of this country and increase awareness of their situation. Distributed by the Walt Disney company, the film aimed to allow the public access to these incredible creatures and build support for their preservation. Born in China is a perfect marriage of art, information, pride, and a benevolent goal. Born in China ventures in...

As producer of Good Morning Britain’s segment back in 2016 in which Piers Morgan interviewed then presidential candidate Trump, Butler pieced together a series interview segment so popular that it prompted a documentary (also produced by her). GMB’s placement of Butler at the helm of these two productions set a precedent for Britain’s view of the man who would become the most discussed American President in modern times on the world stage. The interview with candidate Trump was recorded in New York at Trump Towers on Friday the 13th May 2016. Butler was placed in charge of the interview due to her track record of success under pressure and this particular interview would make good use of the fact. Tapes of the interview were sent overnight from New York to London for...

I wanted to write about a character who was told he had to give half his inheritance to someone he did not know. The inheritance included his beloved Water Mill where he made his precious cider. I include highlights of a historic place that motivates the reader to search for more information. I pick one aspect or element in the history of a place to focus on. It is not only impossible to write the entire history and facts about a place, but it is also not my intention to reveal everything about a place. It is like telling someone line by line of a movie; it takes away the surprise element. I write enough ab...

The most challenging thing for me has honestly been just taking the time to get these songs in a studio to record, because these songs are very real stories from my life and the lives of friends of mine, and they bring me back to a very dark part of my life I feel I've only recently left. However, at the same time, they've also been therapeutic for me as an artist, because while ripping...

How NuoDB Is Changing The Cloud Market

Image
The cloud market is huge right now. And, no, that doesn't mean that millions of people each day are purchasing white marshmallow-like vapors out of the sky. Instead, it means that people are accessing and inputting data millions of times per day into somewhere that doesn't technically exist. The cloud is a concept and it is where things like your Google Docs are going. It is also the location where your Netflix movies are and each person is able to access them when they need them so that it is more convenient than having to tote around disks and flash drives. One thing that the cloud does require, though, is Internet. People who use the cloud will need to be hooked up to the Internet. In the past, it may have been unusual for someone to have wi-fi with them on the go but now virtually everywhere has wi-fi. You can even get wi-fi on a plane (although, it's quite pricey). You can use wi-fi to help you access the cloud where you can store important documents, large fi...

Interview with artist Anton Winzer

Image
Today our guest is Anton Winzer a self-taught artist from Austria. In 2009, after a break of nearly 20 years, he started painting again, doing photography and digital work … besides his work as personal assistant for handicapped people in their houses. That brought him a burnout with a following depression in 2014. Through his artwork, he came out of that depressive state again and he decided, even if he stays poor, that he will never leave his artist path again. We have conducted an interview with him. How did you name your photography portfolio, 'Dirt-Art' and 'Water'? What are they based on? 'Portfolio' seems to me the most fitting way of referring to my entire photography work. Thank you! In the many fields of my artistic work, my creative journey, I always like to push the boundaries and attempt to dissolve them. 'Dirt Art' is today often understood as making artworks out of dirty vehicles, which makes it considerably difficult for t...
