Broken Revelations - interview with author Albert Scott

Image
Albert Scott is a 31-year-old who is pursuing his dream of writing novels, and after being rejected and ignored by dozens of literary agents, he decided to take the self-publishing route to introduce his book the Broken Revelations Universe to the world. We have conducted an interview with him. What is the setting of 'Broken Revelations'? Why 'horseman rising'? I have made my hometown of Denver the setting of Broken Revelations: Horseman Rising for one somewhat petty reason: I am tired of reading stories where all the world altering events happening either in New York or Los Angeles, so I wrote a story of a world changing event that takes place in my hometown that takes route that readers will find surprising and enjoy. As far as naming the first volume of the Broken Revelations series it was effortless once I finished writing it the protagonist discovers that he’s a horseman of the apocalypse and the question is can he rise to the challenges that he w...

SimpliTeach - interview with Dr. Liz Hardy on online teaching

Image
Tonight our guest is Dr. Liz Hardy, the founder of SimpliTeach.com . Liz helps online teachers overcome what she calls the Big Hairy Beasts of the job. She believes the secret is to work smarter rather than harder, and she shares many ways of doing just that. We have conducted an interview with Liz. Your mantra is “helping teachers work smarter rather than harder”. How did that come about? Online teachers are often dealing with much bigger classes than in face-to-face teaching. The higher student numbers mean there’s a lot more work to grade, and a never-ending flood of student emails to answer. If you don’t have some solid strategies in place for handling these challenges, pretty soon you’re completely swamped. It feels like you’re being swept away in a tidal wave of work that’s much more powerful than you are! So it’s my mission to help online teachers deal with overwhelm and overwork, and find smart ways to get those endless, crashing waves of work back unde...

Interview with author and blogger Steve Costello

Image
Steve Costello is an author and fledgling blogger although he had over five thousand engaged followers when he sent up a motivational blog back in 2000. His passions are many but in particular he loves to use fictional writing to introduce matters relating to human beings and their spiritual nature. We interviewed Steve recently. How relevant are your personal experiences (such as of sleeping in bomb shelters and the travels/stays in Germany, Greece, Turkey, UK, the Netherlands, Devon, France) on the unearthing of a long-hidden secret in your book 'Beyond the Pyre'? My personal experiences are all a part of my life path and they have led me to believe strongly in humanity and the absolute love that resides in all of us. Sleeping in a bomb shelter was a frightening experience that felt very personal at the time until I realised that I was a lucky one; I had the luxury of a shelter and others like me did not. Those thoughts began to hurt. I met several group...

What inspired you to write this book "Changing Your Life by Changing Your Mind: The Power of Expectation"? I’d have to say, my life inspired me to write this book: specifically the struggles in my life and how they warped my thinking. I was born into a poor family in upstate New York. My dad had been a prisoner in a Nazi concentration camp during WWII. He was 17 years old when he was taken in the prime of his life. He never saw his family after that day. He did not know how to show love or affection. He never once told me he loved me. My mom became an alcoholic after ...

HIGH FASHION WITH STYLE: DANIEL DOYLE

Image
The synergy between those who create fashion and those who create the style which models exhibit is never more apparent than at London Fashion Week and Haute Couture fashion week in Paris. While these international events stand as the elite of the industry, they convey a very different sentiment in regards to the public’s interaction. As someone who has been an active participant in both events, Stylist and award-winning colorist Daniel Doyle has enjoyed his time participating in both but feels quite differently about each. He’ll readily admit that his homeland (Doyle is a native of Liverpool) loyalty may contribute to his leanings but notes that there’s no need to restrict oneself to only one event when you can enjoy and accept the experience that they both offer. Doyle first came to notoriety due to his affiliation with the world famous Sassoon name. He had always been interested in the opportunities that a career as a hairstylist afforded but became sidetracked…as life of...
