Last Night, When I Prayed

Image
Sunshine Rodgers is an author from Orlando, FL. Her first book is a Christian nonfiction distributed nationwide and published with Xulon Press. Her 2nd book is about to be launched, a graphic novel titled "Last Night, When I Prayed."  We have conducted an interview with Sunshine. What is the main message that you want to deliver via your Christian nonfiction book? The main message I want the readers to understand is the closeness and intimacy we can have with God. Sometimes we view Him as a Being up in the sky somewhere who is not at all interested in us, but quite the opposite, He is very near and available and intricately involved in our everyday lives. The more we can recognize this truth, the more we can begin to see Him as close as a father. How do you craft the characters in your book? So, in my 2nd book, I had to create some “fantastical” characters but all inspired by biblical stories. I thought about how demons are represented and how angels are port...

Karen T. La Beau is a Louisiana visual artist that resides in Shreveport but she is originally from New Orleans. She found her artistic voice after Hurricane Katrina and she is developing a series of work on the "blue crawfish." We have conducted an interview with her. How does the Blue Crawfish inspire you? In Louisiana, we love our crawfish. I once saw the elite blue crawfish. Royal blue is my favorite color. So, I became drawn to the “Blue Crawfish.” I decided to give them personalities almost creating an alternate universe with them doing various activities. What is the story behind your artwork? Drawing came naturally. My grandfather was an artist, most of my aunts and uncles down to my cousins all have the talent. However, it was not until after Hurricane Katrina that a need was born to create almost day and night. I was depressed having to relocate from South Louisiana to North West Louisiana. Painting saved my mental health. I missed home every d...

Power to E-learning

Costanza Casullo is a classical guitarist from Milan, Italy. We have conducted an interview with her about her teaching activities on skillshare  and her project Power to E-learning . Which are your teaching activities on skillshare? I teach classical guitar on Skillshare . There are currently 3 classes aspiring guitar players can enrol in and I am working on the 4th one.  What is your project 'Power to E-learning' about? Please tell us a little more. As I was promoting my Skillshare’s course on social media (mainly on Linkedin ), I noticed from the comments, invites to connect and messages I was receiving that people were actually more interested in learning how I created the guitar course than in actually learning how to play the guitar! So I spotted a gap in the e-learning industry, which is providing free resources and inspiration for aspiring online instructors. There are a lot of online lessons marketplaces out there such as Udemy and Skillshare, bu...

The general themes of the book are the same as they have morals and learning, which is important when children first start reading. I wrote the two books out of telling story's to my children, I just decided to write one or two down instead and see what other people thought of them, it was actually a friend that recommended sending the Pirate Shrew to a publisher, and it's all gone from there! What would you like to achieve? Something I would like to achieve is to write a book that everyone enjoyed, that opened the eyes...

Currently, he is attempting to crowdfund the budget for an independent horror film Moggy Creatures . We have conducted an interview with him. What makes your film so unique? Moggy Creatures is a throwback to classic creature-features, where a monster is an actual character and driving force of the story. The movie also features live hairless cats, and mutated versions of them. We'll be using Practical FX, meaning the monsters, the mutated cats, will be actual creatures with the actors in the scenes, not computer-generated and added later. Many people love cats, what are you views about making a horror film about mutant cats? It's BECAUSE people lo...
