Absolutely French

Today our guest is Armelle Perben from France. She was an expatriate and expat partner in 6 different countries and a French teacher. She started her career as Chef de Rang, in Michelin-starred restaurants for 6 years, then she started teaching French abroad.

Moving abroad is amazing, but could be so easy with a little help. Armelle wanted to welcome expats in France, so she created a French school dedicated to expat partners: Absolutely French, which promotes an alternative way to teaching French and answers to their needs. We have conducted an interview with Armelle about her initiative.

What inspires you to start Absolutely French to help expat partners?

My name is Armelle Perben, I was an expat partner and French teacher. I didn't receive any welcome in the countries I lived, and I missed it. Building a network was longer than I thought.

Why is receiving welcome while living abroad important?

Receiving welcome from people who already live here and can answer to all your questions is precious. Absolutely French offers these services. We are a French school dedicated to expat partners and we promote an alternative way of teaching French to answer to their needs.

What are your main aims and through which activities do you use to reach them?

The main aim is to help expat partners find their goal during their expatriation. We teach French with an innovative, qualitative and enjoyable way, through cultural activities such as games, cooking, visits of Paris. This method give all the keys to make your stay a great experience, optimize your expatriation and speak French!

How unique are your services?

Ambience is qualitative and warm, with coffee closed to the chimney, organic lunch, and a garden. Courses take place in real French home to dive into French culture!
