that fabricate high performance and racing cars and build racing engines. Additionally, Mr. Allred has driven road
racing and drag racing cars and has worked as a crew member of many race
cars. Today we interview him regarding
his new online venture which is an ecommerce website: Sundayspeedandcustom.com and his
experience as an ecommerce store owner.
What kind of parts do you sell on your e-commerce website?
Sunday Speed and Custom sells High Performance Auto Parts and Racing
Auto Parts. Our online store features a
wide variety of high performance auto parts, accessories, tools and race car
set up equipment and information such as books and DVDs. We have available all the latest parts and
technologies from the best automotive aftermarket manufacturers of high
performance and racing auto
parts. The specific markets we
cover are: Drag Racing Parts, Circle and Oval Racing Parts, High
Performance Street Car Parts, Sport Compact Car Parts, Truck, Diesel and Jeep
Parts and Hot Rod Parts and Custom Car Accessories. Additionally, Sunday sells a variety of
lifestyle products that appeal to all automotive enthusiasts.
What elements do customers look for in a website such as yours?
Customers look for a site that is user friendly where the shopping
experience is fun and informative.
Customers respond to a site that is easy to use, easy to understand and quick. Many customers are looking for the latest
products from manufacturers they know and trust so we must have a wide range of
products available for them to choose from.
Customers who know exactly what they want need to be able to find and
purchase their products quickly. Other
customers may want to shop and learn about the latest products and technologies
before making a buying decision. We need
to have the information those customers are looking for presented logically
with easy site navigation to assist them.
Also, we must convey to customers a sense of confidence. They need to have confidence the site is safe
and secure and confidence purchase transactions are easily made and safe to
complete. We try very hard to make our
store easy and comfortable for our customers to use with the latest security
features for safe and secure transactions.
Do customers need help with product decisions?
Some customers do need help with product or technology decisions. We include all information available from our
manufacturers in our product ads and we list answers to common questions on the
site. If a customer still has a
question, however, our technical assistance department is ready to help answer
their questions.
How quickly do you ship a customer order?
When a customer submits an order it is processed immediately and
electronically. In stock parts are
picked, packaged and shipped the same day.
Evening orders may be shipped the next day. If the part is out of stock or we do not have
enough stock to complete the order we will contact the manufacturer to
determine if they can ship the order directly to the customer for us. If the manufacturer cannot complete the order
we have the ability to search numerous other sources electronically to find
product and complete an order. We are
almost always able to ship an order the same day we receive it. If we have any delay we contact the customer
to advise them of the situation.
The majority of customer orders are shipped
via Federal Express, UPS or the USPS.
Most of these orders can be shipped via air as well if the customer
needs quicker delivery. We do provide
next day and Saturday air delivery if a customer needs an order delivered that
quickly. Heavy weight orders such as crate
motors must be shipped via truck.
Can customers return parts?
Yes customers can return most new and unused parts for exchange or
refund. Only parts that are custom made
or configured for a customer and some closeout parts are not returnable. Our product ad will specifically state if a
part is not returnable. Generally, if
the part has not been used, the packaging has not been damaged and we can sell
the product again as a new product we will accept a return.
