Commitment Questions: A grown folks guide to good Luv

Image
We would like to start with the simplest question, and that is why you have written the book “ Commitment Questions: A grown folk’s guide to good Luv ”? What was the primary motivation? I am a hairdresser by trade. I have spent 30 years listening to people’s deepest darkest fears, hopes and dreams. But when the subject of love comes up positive judgment and positive choices are sometimes overlooked. When I listened to my client’s pain over love lost I vowed to find a way to alleviate the pain. I started asking questions within 10 minutes the client and I had figured out what went wrong in their respective relationships. You have used a very attractive copy line “Remove all uncertainty and have fun in the process”, how can you assure people about the certainty of love in life? Life is so random and uncertain but by asking the right questions of your lover or spouse you will know in no uncertain terms if this person is a viable match for the life you want to live. ...

Curtis Lovell II. - interview

Image
At age 7, after Curtis Lovell II ' s father pulled a coin magically from his ear, he has immersed himself in the world of magic and the history of Harry Houdini. We have conducted and interview with him: -What accomplishment are you most proud of? My grandmother taught me that success is personal to each person and the meaning is a bit different for everyone. For many it can't be measured in dollars and cents or by reaching a certain education level. I am the most proud of the fact that I never gave up on my dream and that as an adult I still believe in magic.  My greatest accomplishment is when I can take my client's special event and bring some wonder and mystery to it. When I receive positive feedback from my audience, that is the greatest feeling -- and that is when I know that I have completed my task.  But, in 2009, I realized a personally meaningful milestone when I opened for legendary movie actor Tony Curtis during an awards show for the Jules ...

Dyanna Spa is an amazing spa/saloon in Manhattan New York. The best place of the best places when it comes to pampering your body. The spa has been providing its services in the city for 2 years, becoming one of the top ranked, outstanding relaxation places in Manhattan. They offer a full range of services, such as: - Facial and skin care. - Massages, including Swedish massage. - Manicures and Pedicures - Body treatment - Hair removal services and their specialities are Brazilian Bikini Wax treatments for both genders. The Dyanna Body and Nail salon is one of the first places that offered a full body hair removal in NYC .  ( New York Hair Removal ) Since then, the salon has been winning many awa...

Purifier brands

Image
I feel like these days there are so many companies out there making so many products that it makes it really difficult to know which things to actually buy. At least there is the internet.  I always get on and do product search and read reviews to try and find out which companies are credible and which ones aren't. Most recently, this happened to me with air purifiers. I just had this feeling that the air in my apartment was kinda thick and heavy to breath.  When I started researching my options, I was totally overwhelmed. When I finally figured out which brands were decent (you can click here to learn which purifier brands to avoid and which are best ) I narrowed it down to two models and then finally pulled the trigger and made a decision.  I guess my point here is, don't just buy the first thing you see, because there is a lot of junk out there. If you don't have the internet, go to the library or what not and get online to do some research. You wil...

Space Development Cooperative

Louis Gelinas, Canadian, electronics diploma for education. Worked in building security and automation. Robotics hobbyist and space enthusiast. We have conducted and interview with him. What kind of space project are you working on and why you have been able to work on it for more than 30 years? What is interesting about it? We are building a space habitat or space city to house up to 2 million people. It started as a high school science project over 30 years ago and much of the technology involved actually existed 30 years ago. An interesting point about our project is that it would cost about the same to build the city to house 1000 people or 2 million or virtually any number of inhabitants because the cost is that of the mining operation not the actual building. What does your research work involves? When will this space project likely to be ready? Our research has spanned many fields from structural design to biology. We are essentially building a tiny Earth and...

Zen Magnets publicly refuses CPSC product recall

Image
Following the Administrative Complaint issued last week against Buckyballs, the Consumer Product Safety Commision (CPSC) has begun to issue recall requests to other brands of high-powered magnet spheres. Including one sent to Zen Magnets , a company with no record of injuries.  "If you slice us down, the last of our company's efforts will be to siren this injustice before we fall," said Founder Shihan Qu, in his recent press release in the form of a public response to CPSC voluntary recall requests made by the Office of Compliance and Field Operations of the CPSC. "We have had exactly Zero ingestion incidents... We have never referred to our product as a toy. We have never put our product on toy shelves, where kids can grab them and shove them in the faces of their parents." The CPSC has been targeting makers of "aggregated masses of small, powerful, individual magnets," claiming the products create a substantial risk of injury to t...

What it Means to See a Comment on my Post by Mr Adolf Ratzka

In January, I uploaded a post about  the disability movement led by Ed Robert and Adolf Ratzka . There was a video about Mr Adolf Ratzka in the 1970's and another that Ed discusses about the future of independent living. Adolf Ratzka Conference Speech and Seminar Discussion at ENIL.   from Paul Darke on Vimeo . Not just because I am interested in the research about  Independent Living , I truly believe it is possible. I have worked with students with disabilities and they told me their dreams to be able to do several things independently. These things are usually taken for granted by people who do not have a disability. The inspiration which I have drawn from these amazing people is that they have this strong yet undaunted spirit in them which you do not usually find in most people. To our surprise, Mr Adolf Ratzka wrote us a comment under that post on 4th March! :) Wow, that was such an honour! He wrote when and how he and Ed were since in contact, how he gained mu...
