Let it Go - Interview with Josh Hawkins

Image
Josh Hawkins has begun his carreer as actor in New York City after he graduated at Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute. Let It Go, directed by Tom Wilton, premiered at London’s Portobello Film Festival is one of Josh's latest works. We have conducted an interview with him. How would you describe the uniqueness in the indie films which you have made? The uniqueness stems from the issue that I am addressing, my film follows a model turned bartender as he is diagnosed with HIV. I wanted to make an honest portrayal of what it is like when a man finds this piece of information out about himself. Along with the grey mood and the acting in this film, it all bundles together to make this a really powerful piece. Who did you collaborate with and which film was premiered at the London's Portobello Film Festival? I collaborated with actors that have caught my attention which I was very fortunate enough to get for this project, Paul Emile who worked on “The Judge”, F...

Edge of Something More

Image
Our guest tonight is Andi Loveall, author of contemporary romance novels. Her first book, Edge of Something More , was released this past fall. We have conducted an interview with her. Which is/are the most essential feelings you want your characters to extend to your readers?  Laughter, anxiety, doubt, or love? If they feel empathy for the main character, Devin, then I think they’ll feel a little of all of those! This story takes an honest look at the beginnings of a relationship. Not all love stories start off the same. Sometimes it’s love at first sight. Sometimes it takes a while. Sometimes it’s love at first sight, but something else gets in the way. There are so many things that can happen. I love Devin and Cora’s story. It’s realistic, it’s honest, and it’s far from perfect, but it’s beautiful. I feel grateful to be the vessel that got to witness their love, and I hope the readers enjoy their story as much as I did. Where do you draw your inspirations to write...

Bobbie Files - Your Friend in Real Estate

Image
Bobbie Files is from the Greater Taunton area of Massachusetts and has been a full-time real estate agent for over 20 years. We have conducted an interview with her. What are the top 3 myths about selling a property that you would like to set right? The 3 biggest myths in my opinion are: First, "let's price it higher and we can reduce afterwards" . In theory that sounds okay, so if the price doesn't work you just reduce it a bit, kind of makes logical sense. However, buyers do not buy on logic, they buy on emotion. The price range they are approved for is logical; the decision to see the home is emotional. When a home comes on the market it is the "new, shiny penny"!! Buyers have rejected all the other homes and are excited to see the newest offering. Well, the buyer that is expecting a home worth $380,000 with features and amenities typical in a $380,000 home will either not see your home as it doesn't have them, OR they will look...

Darcy

Angelica (alias Darcy ) is a 15 years old Italian singer and songwriter. In April she will go to the Tour Music Fest where she will perform an Italian and English song. We have conducted an interview with her. When and why did you start your music career? I started my music career in October 2015 because, over the years, my passion for music grew and grew, until it became more than a passion. I mean, it became like a medicine for my happiness. Who influences you the most in your songwriting? Which language(s) do you write for your music? The truth is that no one influenced me, what I produced, I produced by myself, with no help and no support. What kind of music do you write? For my music, I write the most in Italian, that is my mother tongue, but some songs are also in English, because I find this language very elegant. I write songs in which are played instruments like the violin, the piano and a whole 'orchestra behind. How does a typical of your li...

This Woman Can

Image
Sarah is a professional writer based in Melbourne, Australia. She runs her own professional writing business and is releasing her new picture book (kids aged between 4 and 7) and a digital magazine, "This Woman Can". Can you tell us more about your new digital magazine "This Woman Can?” Sure. This Woman Can is for women who want to delve deeper than what we typically see covered in women’s magazines (e.g: 10 ways to shape your eyebrows, latest style trends etc). We are really going to be delving into the kind of topics that may not be easy to read about, but they’re the kind of things we’ve always wondered about or perhaps Googled. It’s a monthly digital magazine and each issue will have a theme and feature incredible men and predominantly women who have incredible stories to share. We’ve earmarked mid-February as our tentative launch date (everyone in this industry knows last minute hiccups can occur). Our first issue will have a ‘Love Yourself’ theme and sh...
